Summer news
Dear Folks,
We celebrate this Easter Season with hearts filled with hope, hope for all who struggle near to us, at our borders and for those around the world who only long for food, a place to live and work, and above all, peace, within themselves and with their neighbors.
It is with great joy that I share that our parish was asked to host a seminarian for the summer. His name is Ben Pribbenow. He is currently studying in Rome and will be ordained for the Diocese of Green Bay next year. I met Ben and his good family while serving at Holy Spirit Parish in Kimberly and Darboy. Ben and I will be living at the St. Thomas rectory this summer. There is more to share about Ben and his presence here in the month ahead!
Finally, as our parish continues to grow, so does our need to grow as disciples of Jesus, continuing our tradition of care for all ages, and as we welcome and accompany all those who seek him! After consultation with the Pastoral and Finance Councils, and the folks themselves, the ministry tasks of some of our Pastoral Team will be changing, which I will continue to share with you in the weeks ahead. No one is leaving: everyone is staying! We hope to hire a Parish Operations Manager, as Vickie Frauenfeld will be relinquishing those duties to focus on the two other ministries she currently stewards: Pastoral Care and Liturgy.
Thank you again and again for the ways that together, we accompany those who enter the doors of our Worship Space and therefore the doors to our hearts, this Triduum, over 1500 strong. May we remember that Love is our origin, Love is our constant calling, Love is our fulfillment in the heavens!
Godspeed,
Fr. Dave
